In the Glowworm Caves

It was decided at the last minute but I was excited to go we were on our way to the glowworm caves in new Zealand. I have always been interested in caves because there like a whole different world that has yet to be explored. So we arrived I jumped out of the car ready to explore. When we went inside of the cave it was beautiful it looked almost like stars and as we got deeper in the cave it got even more beautiful and soon we were no longer watching our step but looking up at the ceiling and all of sudden we were falling into darkness.

How I got to Know my Best Friend

One day I was coming back from lunch and there was a invitation for a birthday party on my locker. I didn't really know the person that much other than she was friends with one of my friends but I thought it might be fun but i was still a little nervous because I didn't really know anybody that was going but I bought a present and decided to go. So when I showed up I was really shy because I didn't know anybody and everyone was being really loud. So later on that night after we went to Edisons and played lazer tag. We set up our sleeping bags and talked and had fun the rest of the night well the next morning parents started showing up first thing except my mom because I had told her to pick up around noon so me and her got to talking and we became really good friends.

Snow Day

Last Friday was a snow day and me, my neighbors, and my sisters went sledding down the hill behind our house it was a lot of fun until my sister and my neighbor collided into a fence when they were going together and my sister chipped a tooth so she had to go inside. So we kept on sledding and one time I went down the hill with the neighbor boy and we started going really fast and there was this little dip that was surrounded by trees that was surrounded by trees to catch us but we were going so fast we went right through the trees and went down another small hill. So we tried not to go that fast next time.

Christmas Decoration Stealer

I drove up the street toward my house and the first thing that I noticed was my neighbor putting up Christmas decorations so I rolled down the window and told him it looked good I opened the garage door and started pulling in when I noticed that those Christmas decorations were mine. I was not totally for sure yet so I ran down to my basement and found that indeed all my Christmas decorations had been stolen so I decided that there was only one thing to do I would have to steal them back when night came. I went upstairs to my room with a piece of paper to draw out my plan. By 6:00 I had everything planned out I just needed to wait till it got dark so I decided to make dinner since there was know way I could steal Christmas decorations on a empty stomach I heated up some leftovers and sat down on the couch to watch television and watched the sun start going down.

Would I Want a Pause or Rewind Button

If I had to pick between having a pause or rewind button in my life I would pick the rewind button because then if I say or do something wrong then I could always rewind it. For example you know how if you say or do something really mean to someone you wish you could take it back right. Well if I had a rewind button then I could take it back. Or if you decided to like go cliff diving or something and something went wrong you could hit the rewind button and not cliff dive. So that is why if I had to choose between having a pause or rewind button I would pick the rewind button.

So about what I said...: Would You Rather: Your life came with a rewind button or a pause button?

Thanksgiving

It is getting close to thanksgiving and I am really getting into the holiday spirit. I love thanksgiving because it is a time when we get to get together with my family and talk about all the things that we are thankful for. But my personal favorite part is eating my mom always fills the house with the smells of turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Thanksgiving is a very happy time of year because its a tie when we can all come together as a family and talk about the cheerful season and how the leaves colors are so beautiful at this time of year. We have so much fun that we find ourselves sad to leave but we know that we will get together for thanksgiving next year and have just as much fun.

Happy Thanksgiving

We get so tired that we can't concentrate because we feel like we are going to fall a sleep. We need our sleep and a day off of school. So that is why I think that we should get a day from school.

The Best Book I Ever Read

The best book I ever read was The Ghost of Graylock because it is really suspenseful. It is about a boy that's mom is pretty much crazy so he moves to a new town to live with his aunt. The town that he moves to has a old hospital  for children with mental disorders that is haunted so he decides that he wants to check it out to see if the story's are true well he goes to the hospital with his sister and spooky things happen but nothing that convinces him. So he walks home disappointed but a ghost of a girl that lost her parents and is extremely depressed follows him home. The girl keeps showing him pictures and soon the boy finds out that  she was giving him clues of her death and wants him to find out and fix her angered death.

Snow Train

I remember one time when I was little it was a cold, snowy morning and when I woke up my mom asked me if I wanted to go on a train ride in the snow. Being a little girl of course I said yes and so we went to down town Branson where you can take train rides so my mom payed and we got on the train just as it started snowing it seemed almost magical the way the snow blew in their unique little dances around the train I can remember thinking how beautiful it all looked.

Gas Station Break In

Well I was caught breaking into a gas station with my friend and now I have to explain to my parents why I had to do this. My mom stares at my with a angry face that says "I'm waiting". So I decide to tell here the whole story well I was hanging out with my friend and she dared me to go and steal something from the gas station down the street. I told her that I would not do it and that was crazy and then she threatened me and said that if I did not do it she would bully me for the rest of the year and I knew her and I knew that she was not lying. So you see I had to or who knows
what she would have done to me.

My Scariest Race

My scariest cross country meet was at forest park on September 14, 2013. Well first of all it was my first race of the year and there were about 4,000 people there so I was really nervous and I had been having some breathing problems that day. So time went by and before I knew it I was standing on the start line and the gun was being shot. So I was about half way through the mile and a half race and I started not being able to breath so I kind of started freaking out because I couldn't get a breath in and my throat hurt and burned really bad and as soon as I crossed the finish line my mom and uncle could tell something was wrong and they keep asking me questions but everything was blurry and I couldn't answer them. So they  helped me back to our teams tarp and let me lay down and then my head started pounding and I felt like I was going to pass out and so they took me to my uncles house and let me lay down for a while before it passed. So that was probably my scariest race because I could hardly breath and I really scared my mom because she was about to take me to the emergency room but its over now and hopefully it won't ever happen again.

Story with Monsters

It was almost midnight and I watched the clock as time ticked away I looked over to see my sister fast asleep next to me. I knew that there was nothing to worry about but I also knew I had heard something. Something that had disturbed the melody of nights music that was unusual in ways I could not describe. I heard it again a soft cry as though all the sadness of night was being released. I tip toed down the creaky steps of the old farm house to find the down stairs silence to be undisturbed. So I headed up the stairs just in time to hear it again I walked to the window and pulled the curtains back to see a pale see through face staring back at me floating two floors above ground.

Crossing the Finish Line

Crossing the finish line at cross country meet is the best feeling in the world and I don't think that I could ever get tired of it. I love it because I am usually running about 2 miles every meet so to know that I did it without walking and I started and crossed that finish line confident in myself. It is very important to me that no matter what I never give up and walk no matter if I am in first or last and I cross that finish line. Cross country is very important to me because I am always getting better and closer to being first to that finish line. One day I hope to be the first one to cross that finish line.

She's Not Dead

Every one says my high school math teacher that disappeared is dead and I used to believe it but not any more after I got a note with the same hand writing as her in what seemed to be code. I started searching the Internet to see if there was anything on codes and I found out that sometimes its just backwards and so I read the note and it said I am still alive but I need your help with something that will save my life.

They Took Everything Except...

We walked through the door to find that everything was gone except for a picture of me and my uncle that had disappeared 2 years ago I had a feeling that it might be a clue. My mom called the police and as soon as they showed up they started searching for evidence I showed them the picture but they just ignored me and said that nobody would want a stupid picture. So I ran up to my room to find all my things gone too except one small piece of paper on the middle of the floor that said it was me and next time I am going to get you.

Cross Country

Cross Country is a very important part of my life. I always put my very best into so much sometimes that I scare my parents by how hard I push my self. Like one time I got so dehydrated that every time I would eat or drink I would feel like I was going to throw up or pass out at one my parents even told me it might be a good idea to quit. But cross country is so important to me I could never quit and cross country is one of those sports that you have to be prepared for anything because you never know what your going to run into but I love it and no matter what I will always stick with it.

Tape Measure

If I could use this tape measure for anything I wanted to I would probably use it for measuring how many times I have to run around my neiborhood to get to a mile. I am a cross country runner so I like to practice by running at least a mile around my neiborhood but I don't know exactly how long I have to run. So for now I am just making a guess.

Midnight

I opened my eyes as my dog started barking. I got out of my chair and walked into the kitchen to see what time it was it was midnight. As I led my dog to the door (thinking that he might have to use the bathroom) I walked by the living room window and I noticed that it was opened. So I went over to close it and what I saw next was so horrifying that my blood ran cold a face was staring right back at me.

My Favorite Memory

If I had to pick one memory that was the best it would probably be the time we went on vacation to Florida.

One day my mom decided that we needed a vacation. So we all talked about it and decided that we would go to Florida and invite the whole family to come along. So we packed up our things and started the eighteen hour (day and a half) trip to Florida from our house since my mom decided that we would go by car because taking a plane was to expensive.

We finally arrived at our resort after almost two days of driving. The first thing that we did was eat dinner and then we all changed into our swimsuit and jump into the pool. We didn't get out of the pool until the manager kicked us out for being to loud (because it was like 11:00 p.m.). So we went to bed. The next day we went to Disney world and Epcot until we got really tired. Then we decided to go to the beach to relax. The next day we had to leave so yeah I was sad but I just hoped we would come back soon.

So that would probably be my favorite memory and I hope I never forget it.

My Crazy Move from Branson

Well it all started when I was sitting in my room one day and I heard the phone ring and my mom answer it. My dad had been trying to get a job with union pacific railroads so that he would make more money and the month before he had 3 weeks before he had had a interview. My mom said started yelling for my dad and I kind of freaked out not knowing what was happening and I ran up the stairs just as my dad was hanging up and he had got the job.

With in the next month things were crazy we sold our house and packed up all our things just to find the dilemma that we had no where to move to. So after staying in a hotel for a few nights we decided to rent a house in Edwardsville,IL.

We spent about 6 months there before my parents told me that they had found the perfect home for us in a town called Festus. I was really scared because I had already moved once and I didn't want to do it again but I new I didn't really have a choice. Every weekend for the next month we would bring stuff to the house that was now ours and I soon grew fond of it and soon we moved in and school started. So here I am now hoping that my parents don't make me move again but who knows I might have another adventure coming my way.

Day off School

I think that we should have no school on veterans day because we should get to spend time with our family, especially if there are veterans in your family. If we really want to learn about veterans day we should ask someone we know that is a veteran. So that is what I think about having school on veterans day.

9 Year Old Drives her Father to the Hospital
When John Smith went to pick his daughter, Esteria who was nine years old, up from karate class, he started to feel a little strange. Realizing that something was wrong, John started driving to the hospital with his daughter. Esteria says he was driving crazy and he told her he could not see. Realizing she needed to do something, Esteria, who was in the back seat at the time, reached forward and grabbed the wheel with one hand, while her barely-conscious father pushed the gas.  She hit a curve and almost ran into the front of an ambulance but they eventually got there after driving 8 blocks on a busy road. At the hospital, doctors discovered a golf ball-sized tumor on his brain. He's now getting treatment.

Dear Mrs.Rodgers

I really think we should get a cat or a dog for the family. I know that you don't really like pets but I promise my sisters and I will take care of it.  I think that it would be great to have a pet to add some fun in our life's and everybody has pets including both our family and neighbors. So I think that we should get a pet for the family.

Sincerely,

Letter from a Classmate in Prison

So after I had read the letter I was not sure what to do I didn't want to get in trouble but he was also my classmate. I needed to find out more so I wrote him a letter asking what he wanted and why.

I didn't get another letter for a week but when I did I opened it up slowly hoping that it was not something to get me in trouble. I started to read and I found out all he really wanted was a hamburger I can't believe I got worked up over nothing. I went to the prison and gave him his hamburger.
